ABS SafeCom’s Forklift Training and Certification course has been designed to train participants to be professional Material Handlers. All of these features are in addition to the general operations of a fork lift, its control and its power source. ABS SafeCom offers a comprehensive training program covering all aspects of operating a powered lift device.

  • Fundamentals: components, factors affecting stability, load centers, rules and regulations.
  • General operating procedures: circles check, story up, shut down, forward, reverse on level ground, loading unloading, parking, operating around other people.
  • Propane, Gasoline and Diesel refuelling, changing a cylinder.
  • Battery Care, Recharging, changing storage batteries and terminology.

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to explain:

  • Basic rules and regulations of forklift operations
  • Analysis of general operating procedures
  • Hands-on training for load-handling and off-loading that ensure work place safety

Practical Training: Hands-on training for 4 hours. Extra training is available, please ask for details.

Format Classroom: Workshop style instruction with interactive discussion and practical exercises.

Resources: Student Manual, hands-on training.

Evaluation: Full attendance, participation, written and practical evaluation for successful completion.

Duration: 2 Days

Certification: Upon completion you will receive the following from ABS SafeCom:

  • The ABS SafeCom’s Certificate of Achievement, which is valid for three (3) years according to the Ministry of Labour
  • Proof that you have the knowledge and skills to operate the said fork lift
  • A Propane Certificate
  • Income tax receipt
