Course Description
This course is intended to provide information on the laws, regulations and correct procedures for checking and performing Air Brake Adjustments. The Trade Qualification & Apprenticeship Act-amended by Reg.269/96, allowed drivers to adjust air brake chamber push rod stroke on trucks and trailers. so equipped, provided that they had successfully completed an approved course of study. This course is presented by the Ontario Safety League on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training, Ontario.

Prerequisites: Drivers must hold a valid license with ‘Z’ endorsement
Format Classroom: Interactive workshop with formal instruction, video, discussion and hands-on training on working brake assembly- in-class and on actual vehicle.
Resources: Supplied: Driver’s manual, Brake Adjustment Limit laminated Card and handouts.
Evaluation: Full attendance, class participation, written and practical test or successful completion.
Duration: 6 Hours
Certification: M.T.O. approved Wallet Card from ONTARIO SAFETY LEAGUE.
